Flora that floor's ya!
The Game
You're a mythical plant shopkeeper - keep your plants alive and find them happy homes! Use your green thumb to water and feed your mystical flora, while keeping up with customer requests.
Beware - you'll get a new plant need or customer demand every 10 seconds. Time flies in this mythical greenhouse! Survive as long as possible before you hit 5 strikes.
Controls
- WASD moves your character
- Left-click to interact with plants and items - feed, pick up, place.
- Right-click to water plants and fill up your watering jug
Hints
- Remember to fill up your water meter at the sink.
- Find items for the plants at their relevant stations:
- Gems are chipped off the giant glowing gem
- Potions are found in the bookshelf
- Meat is in the back meat-locker
- Gold is in the back treasure chest
- Insects are in the back terrarium
Dev Notes
We had an amazing time of learning, ideating, and melding together as a team. We learned a lot, for example: mixing our various skills together to make a unique game style - 2d art with 3d programming - and we think it turned out great!
If we had more time, we would change the following...
- Give better indications of where you need to go for certain items
- Include a currency system so that customers pay the shopkeeper
- Add in the watering cannister that the shopkeeper carries around
- Finish adding UI elements for the timer and event counter
- Polishing! More sound balancing, more knickknacks, etc.
All in all, our band of friends had a wonderful 72 hours of creating, designing, and building. Ready for the next one! ...after a nice long slumber.
